All the plates shown on this page are hand painted with special lead free
ceramic colors and are the hand glazed again with lead free glazes. They can
be used both as dinner plates and as decorative plates for many years. As
with any hand painted ceramic plates we recommend that the plates are washed
with care. The plates are fired to 1000 C and compared to porcelain are more
fragile but if handled with -respect- will last for many years. We recommend
that they be hand washed or placed ion dishwasher but at moderate
temperatures. The colors are all hand painted with the underglaze or inglaze
technique so you should not have the slightest worry that they will fade
with multiple use.
