Shipping to the USA

Every order leaves our workshop on Nablus Road in Jerusalem and travels to your door by DHL Express. This page sets out how that works for customers in the United States, who make up most of the people we ship to.

Door to door, insured, tracked

We ship by DHL door to door to all 50 US states. Every shipment is insured for its full value and you receive a tracking number as soon as the parcel is collected. Each tile, plate or bowl is wrapped individually and packed in double-walled cartons; breakage is rare, and when it happens we replace the piece at no cost to you (see our returns policy).

What shipping costs

Shipping is charged at cost and depends on the weight of the order and its destination, so we quote it for each order before you pay. As a guide:

  • A single sample tile is $60 delivered to your door, shipping included — and it is a finished tile you can set into the wall.
  • Tile orders are quoted by weight. The per-tile shipping cost falls sharply as the order grows, so it is worth ordering a full project at once.
  • Bowls: $170 for a 13 in (33 cm) bowl and $200 for a 14.5 in (37 cm) bowl, insured DHL door to door. Ordering more than one bowl reduces the shipping per bowl very significantly.
  • 8.7 in (22 cm) plates: $80 insured DHL delivery for the two-plate minimum.

The minimum order is $100 plus shipping. Payment is by bank wire or, if you prefer to pay by card, PayPal.

How long it takes

Our tiles and pottery are made to order and painted by hand, so please allow 2 to 4 weeks for production before dispatch. Once the parcel is with DHL, delivery to a US address typically takes one to two weeks including customs clearance. If you have a deadline — an installer booked, a house completion — tell us when you order and we will confirm whether we can meet it.

Customs and import charges

We provide full customs documentation with every shipment. Any import duties or fees levied by US Customs and Border Protection are determined by the US authorities and are payable by the recipient; DHL will contact you if anything is due before delivery.
