Victorian tiles were
originally used to ornament medieval churches and monasteries, but can also
be found in numerous paths and porches. Their popularity was enhanced in the
1830s and became a hallmark of the new romantic movement. Reproduced
directly from Nineteenth Century pattern books, Victorian tiles are not only
ideal for the restoration of older buildings, but can also add a distinctive
touch of class to feature areas in modern properties. As well as providing
elegance they are also hardwearing and practical.
